Dear Competitor,

Thank you for entering

Please take a few moments to look through the contents of the race pack.

In this pack you will find:

  • Catering and shoreside details
  • Flier from EAST the local sailing charity we are hoping to raise funds for on the Sunday
  • The Regatta Team Challenge details and entry form (also available on the web site)
  • Harwich tide tables from Marshall Sutton Jones

Please remember we use VHF channel 72 for race communication.

Please share the details of the catering and domestic arrangements with all the members of your crew.

If you would like to sleep ashore then mobile homes and tents can be erected on site but please seek permission from the harbour office before arrival.

Details of some local hotels and B&B’s are available on this regatta web site

The updated entry list is published on this website.  Anyone who finds themselves listed at the bottom instead of under their class has need to get some information to us in order to complete the entry. This could be payment, but past experience would indicate that it is likely to be the hard copy of the rating certificate. We do accept emailed copies of certificates.

Copies will also be posted on the official notice board on the Friday evening.

When arriving by boat, contact SYH on VHF Ch 80 or by telephone (01473 659465 or 659240). The berthing master will be there until about 2100 on Friday evening. Berths are all pre-allocated; if you find yours occupied at any time, please contact the berthing master – do not help yourself to another one!

Safety inspections are again planned between and after races, so be prepared!

Finally, thanks are due; an event such as this could not happen without an incredible amount of support from a very large number of people:

  • Hutchison Ports UK and the Port of Felixstowe
  • Suffolk Yacht Harbour, Clarke & Carter, East Anglian Sea School, East Anglian Sailing Trust.
  • Owners of the boats, large and small, that have been made available to us over the weekend with the volunteer crews.
  • There is also a large body of people ashore, ensuring you get the results, ensuring your food and drink needs are met where ever possible.
  • The team of helpers last counted at 35 - but this doesn’t include many others who are working away behind the scenes to make sure this Regatta is as enjoyable as you would wish it to be.

We hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Nigel Mower,

Chairman, Port of Felixstowe International Regatta Committee.
